It is exactly as the picture shown and is completely manual in controlling the lights. So not really much to be said about the function, as it works as described. I do find the lights are having a plastic cover that each segment can be unscrewed. The plastic build quality is not looking heavy duty and perhaps is a concern if you put it outside. I am not sure how well this can stand in the Canadian winter. The back of the control box does not have easy to access holes for mounting, perhaps there are two holes that can open up but I did not bother unscrew the whole box to check for it. No paper instructions were provided. No mounting screws are provided as well.The 24v power adapter goes directly under the bottom of the control box, and there is a long wire connecting the control box and the lights. It should be fine working indoors, just not too sure if it's meant to be setup outside.I am not sure if the whole package Justfy the price of the unit. Make sure you compare and contrast products before deciding to get this.

Le reste de la lumière est faite en aluminium et inclut les accessoires pour la fixer en place.Le boîtier de contrôle est également en plastique résistant. On peut contrôler chaque lumière de façon indépendante et on peut choisir de les faire allumer en permanence ou les faire clignoter. L’adaptateur électrique produit environ 18W à la sortie et supporte un courant d’électricité entre 85 à 264V. C’est un produit d’une bonne qualité et je vous le recommande.

The power cord is UL certified for use in Canada and has a dedicated connection. The wire from the wall plug to the controller is about 180 cm (71") and from the controller to the stack light is just under 4 m (about 6'4"). There is green on the bottom, amber (yellow-orange) in the middle and red on the top of the stack.Operation & testing:The controller has 3 switches, with each controlling one coloured light. Turning the switch to the right will make the light flash and to the left will turn the light on solid. You can have all 3 lights on at the same time, some flashing and some solid depending on what is desired.Opinion:The last Tower Lights I tested only had a choice of solid lights, but none flashing. Another one I tested only had a flashing light and siren on the red but the other colours only had solid light on or off. I am happy that this one has the choice of solid or flashing for each colour, but there is no alarm/siren on this one. It would be nice to have another switch just for the alarm so it could be used if necessary, independent of which light is on at the time.

The lights are very bright and easy to see from a distance. It includes red, yellow, and green lights, which are great for signaling. The build quality feels strong and durable. I imagined this item to be a really bright beacon, sort of like the kind you might find at the airport. It's not really as impressive as my imagination, however.It's a three light unit (red, yellow, green) that has a corresponding control box with three switches. The lights are fairly bright but not overly bright. If you were, say, at a cabin with a dock in the dark, these could signal a boat out on the water. Or, if you mounted this outside a workshop, you could signal hazardous materials or dangerous equipment to visitors/workers. And, those would be good uses of this item.However, in broad daylight, the visual range of this unit might be limited and largely dependent on placement. It will have trouble getting people's attention in the daytime, if not placed clearly in a recognizable space.That said, it's a perfectly functional unit, and if you have a need for something like this, where you can change the colours of lights to signal to whomever you might want to contact, it's a useful thing. Its value will depend on your context.It's built sturdily, so it will withstand the elements quite well. It would be easy to mount on a tower or stand, if necessary.I'm happy with this product.

We go to a family cabin and use the boats there quite a bit when we don't go camping. There is no cell service there so when someone is out on the water it's hard to get a message to anyone. We thought we'd use this as a means get messages to those out on the water. If we need them to come in we can turn on the red light, come in when you are ready and no-rush we will use yellow, and green means all good.The device is quite sturdy and the long cables and switch box are a bonus. The lights seem quite bright and it works with no setup, you just need to plug it in and you are good to go. The tower of lights are all plastic, I would have liked to have a little more steel on that tower but with that said, it should last a lifetime as long as it's not getting in the way of something to get damaged.Overall, will be a very effective solution for a problem we've had forever. It works right out of the box with you only needing to plug in the AC adapter. Great device.

This set of lights is really nice. It's quite well built and has 3 colors. Each color can be set to on, off or flashing. It has a long cable and mount to attach the light to what you want. The switches are a bit stiff but work well. The one complaint I have is the red is more orange so it's almost like 2 colors. Would have been nice if the red was actually red. This will be on my boathouse and allow me to see my cottage from across the lake.

This is one seriously equipped light it’s honestly pretty cool you can set each light to always on, flashing or off independently of each other in any combination the controller having nice positive dials to turn into the desired position all in all I’m using this outside of my workshop to signal when I’m in amd it’s safe to enter , when I’m prepping for paint or welding or other things that I would prefer have some control over my wife and kids coming and going and anyone else who randomly stops by and then when the doors locked and I can’t stop what I’m doing to let people know not to waste their time it seems like a pretty solid concept seems as it would follow the traffic light pattern weather anyones going to follow along with my idea is unlikely bet hey when the kits wanna race their bicycles down the driveway at least I can set them up just like at the real racetrack either way it’s a perfect fit for my eclectic style and weather or not any of the lights are on as long as the adapter is connected to power the brand name logo lights up which is a nice touch time will tell how well it’ll work for my application but it does the thing amd that’s a win in my books

The integration of the stack light and control box is a pretty clever way to turn something commonly found in industrial settings into a niche consumer product.The components are solid, and the lights are plenty bright.It would be nice to be able to take this a step further and have some I/O ports to control it from other devices, integrate a remote, or adjust the blinking rate.Overall, a 4 star from me - its a little pricey for what you get, considering the controller could be designed to do so much more for little extra cost.
